When is fnaf 2 taking place?

I just wanted to make a point. Before you assume "its taking place few years later after the first game" or "its a sequel so it has to be later on". On the beginning of night 1. It says that they pay you $100.50. Which is LESS than what they payed you on Fnaf 1 (about $120 - $4 an hour). Now they would pay about 2.39 -2.4 an hour. What time is this in? This can't be later on!

on 1987 that means that the timeline between the new and old building is still in the same year. Why would the new building pay less though?

If your a minor (below the age of 18) if you work for a private company they a subject to any amount of pay that they desire you to have. You can always quit but they make the rules. You could work there for free if you wanted to. Not child labor.

Well lads lets look at this, $100.50 for five nights? $100.50 divided by 5 = $20.10 per night. We work for 6 hours which means $20.10 divided by 6 = $3.35 per hour. We also need to include the state, but we do not know that so far. Minimum wage in the U.S. was $3.35 from 1981-1989. It does not say the year on the pay check in the first game, so we cannot judge by that as well. And as far as I know, there is not a paycheck in FNAF 2, so that must mean that the game takes place somewhere between 1981-1989. BUT! It also depends on how old you are, if you are 18 or under, you work for a private company, witch could be the case right here. Age of the new guard. Agree?

So it looks like this is prequel to the original. It's '87 and the new toys after just a few days in service are being scrapped with the originals being restored. Phone guy is taking over the night shift from the employee in FnaF 2 and will probably be replaced by the guy from the first game in a few years.

I have indeed noticed that check as well, and I will try to do more research and we will enventually find more things out. And plus, we never know, that could be photoshopped as its the first paycheck ive seen and we need more evidence from other people. And also, dont forget - this is still a demo. Maybe its not even POSSIBLE to get the paycheck. Yet.

That is quite true, but, from the looks of the "Custom Night" its either Scott didnt work on it that much or the pictures are straight up fake. I honestly think its the second version, but the game is still in development. And plus, Scott did not say anything about Yellow bear (also known as golden freddy) in the first game, so he wouldnt talk about it or put something that will confirm that golden freddy is in the game. Also there wouldnt be an A.I level for golden freddy, as it is well known as a holusination, and not an animatronic and it can appear even if the doors in your office closed in FNAF 1. Agree?

There are screenshots and videos were he is seen. I hoped i have not confused you by saying that there is a danger level for golden freddy. But yes I agree he is a hallusination
