Does the Mask not work on Freddy?

It was Freddy 2.0 who snuck into the room. I put on the mask but died anyway. Maybe I didn't do it fast enough? Or I might have accidentally taken it off. But I don't know for sure so does the mask work on him or not?

the mask works on him, however the window for putting on the mask is almost impossibily short when they enter your room, best too quickly put on the mask each time you check your camera on later nights, also, Freddy 2.0 appears closer twice before entering the room, as do all old and new animatronics, im not sure if the flashlight sends them away or not, for me it only seems to work on balloon guy, old foxy and mangle

I'm very confident that the mask doesn't work when the animatronic is already in the room

theres 2 stages of it being in the room, father down the hallway, and then it gets about 5 or 6 feet closer in the hallway ive noticed. the mask works on toy chica and toy freddy that I've confirmed in night 2. i got butt-raped in night 3 by foxy, not sure if its the new or the old foxy, but i think its the new one. the guy on the phone was mentioning foxy being left in a pile of parts for the children, and the second he said those words the new toy foxy jumped right at me. i was laughing too hard and calling my monitor choice words to be scared that time.

I'm stuck on night 3, old Bonnie and Old Chica keep killing me.
I think flashing or using the mask will work against them.

the mask worked on new chica. the flashlight may not have been used correctly. i flicker it at them while counting to 10 seconds. i then go and wind up the music box about halfway and come back and repeat the process if she is still standing in the hall. this game will be fun to watch people rage about on youtube, lol. no offense. i know ive had choice words with my screen when foxy jumped me a bunch.

When the old animatronics rip your screen down you have about half a second to put your mask on, if you are too late putting the mask on they will rip it off and kill you. If you don't put the mask on they will attack you the next time you put the screen or masking up/down.
