Well, apperently, the author didn't want to write a gay fic, so they put the characters into an AU and made Foxy a female.
This is why I hate the FNAF fandom...

I'm generally a tolerant person towards AUs, as long as they don't stray way too much from canon. But I can't stand Rule 63 either. If they really wanted a female animatronic fox, they could've made an OC. Not exactly something I like, but at least I think it's more tolerable than R63.
