Theory: Funtime Foxy is Male

I think Funtime Foxy (Or Mangle) is male, and here's why.

First off, The phone guy addresses him as a male. You can't just say that he doesn't know much about the character, Because he even says that foxy is his favorite.

Secondly, Funtime Foxy is a variation of Foxy. Since Foxy is male, It'd make sense for Funtime Foxy to be male too. All the other variations of the characters keep the same gender, So it doesn't make much sense for him to be the only one.

Another piece of evidence is Ladies Night. You'd think that it would be evidence for him being female, But that's false. Ladies Night is a promotional event at a night club or bar where Ladies get discounts on drinks. If there were no guys, There'd be no point for the event. So it'd make sense for some guys to be there.

In FNaF World, Funtime Foxy has the same torso as Toy Bonnie. If he were female, Wouldn't he have the same torso as Toy Chica? Since he doesn't, It most likely means that Funtime Foxy is male.

Also, He has red cheeks just like the other males in FNaF 2. This is most likely a hint at him being male.

Scott has referred to Funtime Foxy as a male himself too. Sadly, I don't have any sources, But I recall reading it myself. You'll just have to trust me with this one. =P

Funtime Freddy has the same color scheme as Funtime Foxy, and he's obviously male, So you can't say the pink colors are evidence for him being female.


Honestly, I think FNaF 2 mangle looks male. But it's still hard to tell what gender he is by just looking at him.

So what do you guys think? Male or Female?

I agree with you but some of your evidence is a bit iffy. Foxy is the Phone Guy's favorite. Mangle is a variant. Also in ladies night, foxy is there. A one to two ratio makes sense for that, doesn't it? All of the toy anamatronics have red cheeks, male and female. I don' think even Scott acually knows the gender of Mangle. Funtime Freddy is also hard to tell. It does have more masculine traits but I think it is female looking. The only reason we are sure on Funtime Freddy's gender is because of the name. You're problably right, but there are some holes.

The animatronics are supposed to represent a character. The characters do have genders, But the animatronics don't. They don't have genitalia, Because they're cartoon characters.

Just because they don't have genitalia, Doesn't mean they don't have genders. The characters that they represent do have genders. Only biological humans and animals can be assigned genders based on that.

well the definition of gender(we mean) in fnaf universe isn't so much clear but I'm sure of 3 things :
-voices don't make gender so even if F.Freddy will have a female voices don't make it female
- robots don't have genitals so no gender , the characters have a gender
-we don't know if the spirits mantein the genitals ...I mean they seems all the same so a robot possessed don't make the gender of robot


I don't want to start a gender war but there are proofs of that confirm the other genders that for now have the same value of those you said so... better wait Scott's decision, if he decide to make them unknown, discuss about which of them is right is useless ... yes we can speculate but we can't have the answer so... there will be never an end .

anyway "male?female? it's a character who cares" the genders don't affect the game or the story, is something usefull only for fanmade contents so people are free to create a female F.Freddy in the same way people will create male F.Freddy ... I mean whatever will be the gender nothing will change .

Isn't speculation kind of the reason we are all here? I mean, the gameplay isn't all that great, so we must be here for the story. And for your argument that who cares? Obviously many people care, everbody on this disscusion, and everybody making that fanart. It's simmilar to my question on who cares who killed The Phone Guy. I don't think it matters. But since it clearly does to many people I will speculate right along with them.

I think everyone is free to speculate about whatever they want and I know very well that people care about the gender ... even too much in my opinion.
I saw a lot of people who write " I'll suicide myself if Spring Bonnie is female" and similar things, like we all know people are free to create fanart and fanfiction with the character of a gender they decided but then other people said" this isn't true because ..." and start a gender war. Me too think something about genders but if Scott or someone else think another thing I'll respect their version .

with my previous message I meant "untill Scott reveal them nothing is 100% sure but better don't attack yourself to an idea "... again sorry if I wasn't clear .

I disagree. in FNaF World phantom mangle is called a "he" and a "she". Also, Scott Cawthon would have likely settled the confusion as he did multiple springtraps in FNaF 3.
