yeah, i have rtx 2060 and AMD RYZEN 5 3400 g (3.7ghz) (16 ram) and it goes like at 20 fps, the second beta used to run and look so much better, but nice work on the update dude.

I wouldn't know, v3 still just crashes on me, even with it on the lowest settings. I think fayju really need to decide if they want to finish v2 or just build v3. v2 remastered seems to run much better for me, but then again a lot is removed. I'm sure it'll be great once they finish remastering it though. As for v3, maybe they should just take a break on that for a bit while they finish v2, and call v3 a sequel since it is a different game overall.

hi, we very much intend to finish V2. I know it seems that we "removed" stuff but that is not what happened. Unfortunately, the existing V2 was built in an old version of Unity where the physics and code were no longer compatible and it was near impossible to upgrade or port. It was very difficult "recreating" Amazing Frog? in newer technology, but that is what V3 is. The graphics in V3 are a work in progress and where we see the future of Amazing Frog? but right now V2 remastered is vastly important to us. It is basically V3 with the V2 graphics. And V2 remastered and V3 are being built with the same code so they will progress together.

Yes "removed" was the wrong choice of wording to be sure, I've been following the dev blog and understand what it is that you're trying to do. But I really feel that given the size of your team and the scope of the project you're probably spreading yourselves to thin by working on both projects at the same time, and I'm sure that will lead to burnout, delays, and errors. I only took a brief look at v2 remastered, in the maybe 20 minutes I spent with it I ran into a bug, seems jumping out of a moving car near swindon by the sea caused me to fall through the terrain (thankfully into the ocean). I'm sure if I spent more time with it I'd find more bugs, but my son loves v2 legacy (and is excited for a v3 that doesn't crash as often), personally I'm more excited for v2 remastered, but I feel you guys kinda jumped the gun with this release due to the lack of content. I'm also hoping I won't need to do major upgrades to my system to run v3.

Thanks, In our defence it is a beta and people wanted something to play. On the V2 / V3 thing thanks for your concern, but its the only way to progress. It really hurt that we couldn't continue developing V2 Legacy but there it is. Building it from V3 is the only way to do this and as you pointed out what we are building in V3 does not run well enough on every ones machines. If we build them separately it would be much harder for us. Also to put V3 into a separate purchase we just felt would be unfair.
What system are you running out of interest? I would like to know what aspects of V3 do not run too well on what systems.

Oh the 2 bugs that I noticed in v2 remastered were as I mentioned before falling through the terrain when jumping from a moving car near swindon by the sea, the other was the grass texture gradually bleeding over the road texture when I started down the hill towards the beach.

As for the issues with v3, the beta release will not load at all for me, the January release will sometimes load if I turn down all the settings and reduce the population as much as possible, however I get anywhere from a few seconds to a maximum of maybe 10 minutes before it crashes if I stay in swindon, but if I leave town no matter what direction I go once I get so far from town it crashes.

Thanks. We are going to struggle initially to get V3 running on a 1060 3GB, but its not impossible, we will just need more time on that. A lot will happen over the coming months in the test arenas and smaller worlds for V3 that will be less intense, but we needed to establish the core world first.
On V2 , yeah things like surface clipping are exactly why we started building V3 with more rusbust graphical solutions in the first place. A game like AF? is unlikely to ever be bug free, but we do chase them down as far as we can. The ragdoll clipping through he terrain is a bug I revisit and have solved on multiple occasions, it manifests in different ways though out all the versions ( ...well not in V1 as there were no vehicles )
