As for your save data, V3 is considered a different game from V2; therefore, NOTHING will carry on and you will have to recollect everything in the game as intended. If you do not want to do this, go play V2.
As for the crashing, there will obviously be bugs, so wait for the fixes; however, it sounds like an issue with your computer and not the game as it was able to load on my computer despite me not being able to play at a comfortable frame rate due to the potato specs of my device.
Please keep in mind that Gaz and Hal are still working on implementing all the features of V2 in V3. It sounds like you did not read the devlog.
It crashed before even completely loading the game. I tried to lower the settings and open the game again and it will still not load the game. The one time we got into the game it was sooooooo slow and glitchy. I'm running on 8 GB of ram.
8GB of RAM is an issue currently for The whole map of Swindon Shire its much more detailed than in V2. We are working on a solution, thanks for you feedback.
