Amazing Frog?

Amazing Frog?

Xbox 360 controller not Working (SOLVED)
I've searched and searched for anything about this and it seems like I'm the only one who can't get my Xbox 360 controller to work in the game AT ALL.

I'm using a wired Xbox 360 Controller that is recognized just fine by the computer, and tests just fine when running joy.cpl through RUN. But when firing up Amazing Frog from Steam Launcher I get no response to any input from the controller at all. Nothing AT ALL.

I've read many posts about people having problems with one button or trigger doing something different than they think it should, well I get NOTHING.

This is extremely frustrating because this game NEEDS to be played with a controller. I have tried playing for hours and hours with keybaord and mouse and there is just no way i can accurately control the forg with enough finesse to bounce around and land perfectly on teh center of trampolines, for example, in order to get to high places. there is juts no way i can do that with WASD controls.

Not being able to use a controller is completely ruining the game for me, so I really hope someone can help figure this out for me.

Someone please help!

SOLVED: I installed InputMapper in order to try a PS4 controller, and it worked! And it also fixed the Xbox 360 controller so that it works now too! When I began installation it has a "Prerequisite Programs" dialog which asks to install certain programs that are needed for it to work, and in doing so I think it also fixed whatever the problem was with the Xbox 360 controller.

My Xbox 360 Controller also controls Steam Big Picture view just fine as well. Which makes it all teh more frustrating that nothing happens when using it in Amazing frog.

I apologise, I only noticed this thread now. I have two questions for you:
- Is it really an official Xbox controller or a third party brand?
- Have you tried it with other games?

Thanks for the response.

It is an Offcial Xbox 360 Contolller, and it has worked with other agmes, although on a different computer, and not Steam Games. This has been the first Steam game I have tried it with, and it operates the Big Picture View just fine.

Can you try with other steam games? this could be an issue that's not related with the game.

Well I don't have a whole lot of Steam games, unfortunately. I play mostly Civilization games on Steam. I'm not sure how many other games I have should work with a controller. Should Half Life 2 work with a controller?

EDIT: I'll give this a try with Half Life 2 when I get a chance. The computer is tied up doing something else at the moment:

OK, well I've narrowed it down to a computer specific problem. I downloaded Amazing Frog from my Steam Account on a different computer and the controller worked just fine within the game.

I then went back to the original computer, completely uninstalled AF, rebooted and then reinstalled AF from Steam, but the controller still doesn't work within the game, despite it registering and working fine with the computer itself, and with Big Picture View.

What could be causing the controller to stop working from only within the game on that one computer of mine?

EDIT: I can even Stream the game from the computer from where the controller works, to the computer where the controller does not work and it runs fine with the controller (since it's streaming from teh other computer). this is so frustrating.

The machine that the controller works on has Windows 10. Not sure if Windows 7 might be a problem?
