Quality of Life Improvements:

Eliminate the negative space between inventory slots in the inventory interface, just fill them in with a border surrounding the individual slots in the UI. Far too frequently is it possible to misclick this space and instead interact with objects in the player's FOV.

When accessing chests, the position and size of the 'take all', 'deposit all' buttons are inverse to the 'next page' previous page' buttons. The 'next page and 'previous page' buttons are the ones used most and should inherit this obvious positioning and size. The 'take all' and 'deposit all' buttons can occupy the same amount of UI space as the existing arrow buttons with an icon depicting a chest with an arrow pointing into it and one with a chest and an arrow pointing out of it.

On the 'last page' when the player deals with an inventory UI, instead of omitting a next page button--provide a next page button that cycles the player back to the first page of said inventory.

Having the player take damage should automatically escape the player from any inventory interfaces.

A 'Loot All' hotkey. 'E' works in most cases, no? Alternating between clicking the existing button in place and placing X harvesters currently requires a small amount of cursor placement foresight. It is a mild inconvenience but also, an unnecessary one.

Wishful Thinking, Hopes & Dreams

Automatic inventory sorting. (I'm not holding my breath here but, one can dream)

Audio volume mixers. I love the music but to enjoy it at an audible level means my assault rifle endeavors destroy ether my ear drums or my relationship with my neighbors--depending whether or not I am wearing headphones. Sometimes both?

More environmental ambiance and it's own, dedicated audio channel (with it's own mixer). Right now, it seems as if this audio flavor is executed as it's own music track or as part of one. The work that has been done is solid and convincing but, the implementation leaves a lot to be desired.

More music. I dig what is being laid down thus far and I only want more of it.

Biome specific music. What exists now is generally serviceable to any part of the game. However, some tracks would really shine as one specific biome's theme in exclusivity.

Stability and performance optimizations. This one could almost go unsaid. After a couple hours of playing, the game starts to tank in the FPS department as anyone who has played long enough can attest. As I was writing this, I alt-tabbed out of the game and my PC froze, straight up hard lockup not even the ole three finger salute could salvage my Windows session and I was forced to hard restart. The next three hours were spent performing an unescapable full disk scan. :steamsad:

Excellent points and suggestions!

I don't remember seeing a hard hang on this game before, but it does not like one tabbing out of it much. It works most of the time for me, but sometimes it freaks out.

I suggested the sound controls idea years ago, so good luck with that
