Emperor portrait didn't unlock

So i just completed the entire campaign on Hard difficulty along with ALL side quests. Took me damn near two weeks. The emperor tells me he grants me the title Savior of the Realm in the ending cutscene. Hell yeah, i did it!

Well, no. The campaign map does show all mission markers in gold, so they are completed. The medals section in the player profile also tells me (in green) that i completed the campaign on hard mode. The medal that goes with it, though, is transparent while it should be solid gold. The title is nowhere to be found either. It seems like the game did register me completing the campaign, but didnt bother to unlock the bonus content that should go along with it. Any suggestions?

Never mind, I managed to unlock it now. I reloaded a save from the last mission and finished it again. The only thing i did differently now was keeping ALL ships of Al Zahir and Marie afloat during the attacks. Besides that, i found a small trading ship belonging to Lucius in the northwestern corner of the map. It turned hostile as soon as i completed the cathedral, which triggered the final side quest. Destroying it and completing that sidequest may have been the thing i missed. Although when i completed the mission the first time it told me i had scored 640/640 points so i thought i missed nothing. Now it told me 660/660. Might be a bug.

note that on Anno 1404: Gold Edition (Dawn of Discovery) when u complete chapter VII or VIII with all the side missions the portraits stay locked until u launch Anno 1404: Gold Edition addon (Venice).

probably a bug. Just like the Dawn of Discovery version in this Gold Edition bundle - doesn't launch from steam (you need to go to game files and lounch Anno.exe to play Dawn of Discovery instead of addon Venice). everyone's having the same issue and missing the tutorial/campaign. hope this gets fixed one day..
