CD-Key

Have an old CD-key for the gold edition of this game, is it possible to activate it on steam? As a CD key i of course mean retailed copy version, and the reason why im asking is because it didnt work to register, is there some way around it?

Anno 1404 keys can't be redeemed on Steam.

I had to buy some games again. But I don´t mind as much since digital is superior than old cds and it´s futureproof and way more practical.

I hope you will get a good price, I know I did get one. It was a daily deal before steam steam switched to one price during the big sales.

Wouldnt say its futureproof, anything can happen, you dont know if steam is still up 20 years from now. Also its sad that i cant have the games from my childhood to just boot up once in a while without buying a brand new copy of the game, not being able to use my cd key to at least get a price reduction is a big dissapointment.
