Spriter Pro
Spriter and Unity integration
Hello, I would like to understand what you can actually do with Spriter and Unity together.
I already seen there is an unofficial tool to import a Spriter project inside Unity, my concern is about the rig created in Spriter: can you use it/ control it through Unity code? If yes, can you also use the inverse kinematics inside Unity some way?
Just to make an example, let's say I add inverse kinematics to my character to keep his arms/hands and gun pointed towards a distant bone, can I control that bone in Unity and have the character aim according to my input?
Thanks.

If you use Spriter2Unity, it creates it to a native 2d bone animation in Unity, so whatever you can do to control standard Unity 2d animations you can do wit hthe imported/converted animations.

There is also SpriterDotNet for Unity, which alows actial playback and control of the Spriter animations while keeping them in Spriter format... which supports almost ever Srpiter feature, but I'm not sure if you can sort of hyjack and control specific bones etc. I suggest you contact its creator and check out its github page etc.

Thank you very much, I will investigate this further, doing also tests myself. SpriterDotNet seems to support basically all the features in Spriter, also bone animation, so it should achieve what I need.
Have you found out if its possible to use inverse kinematics or control bones inside Unity using the SpriterDotNetUnity package?
