Nope. Story can be done in Single Player or Local Co-Op.

Multiplayer is a 1-on-1 VS match to save/collect survivors before the time and rounds run out.

Even more, this is why I'm not buying 2 copies. :/

Pretty surprising that there's no online co-op given that they went through the trouble doing netcode for the vs multiplayer. Disappointing. Hopefully it comes one day!

That's too bad on the online co-op. I'm really happy this finally came to Steam and will gladly be picking this up today, but online co-op would have meant that I bought another copy for a friend.

I understand how some developers don't want to spend time on netcode as it's hard to get right, so they just go for local multiplayer, but I cannot comprehend why you'd make it local co-op only when you have already developed a netcode... Feels like such a waste.

Was looking forward to getting two copies and playing with my friend but I guess not.

That's probably because it's an incredibly stupid decision. Do they really think this game's online will thrive? Are they insane? Online coop would have been played for decades.
