How Can I get my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller to Work in AC2?
Hi.
Straight to the point, this game works perfectly as it should on my corded Xbox 360 controller. All controls are functional and accurate, even the triggers.

After some screwing around trying to get Xbox Elite Series 2 controller to work, the furthest I got was all buttons/sticks working, but no L or R triggers. Simply unrecognizable. Trigger functions were swapped to shoulder buttons in the instance of this controller, though it arrived like that.

Similar story with the Sony DualShock 4, but R2 for High Profile did work. But L2 just made the camera pan down when fully depressed, or pan up when fully pressed, and neutral when the button is in the middle, much like a joystick.

I'd like to use my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, connection is not an issue either. It's just a better feeling controller. I have a feeling it would be about the same as an XBOne controller process?

I've tried other threads that suggested using X360CE.exe and the accompanying xinput1_3.dll and xinput.ini from other thread recommendations, I've tried without it, various combinations of these with and without, versions, etc. I'm not really sure if I'm missing something? But so far I've arrived at the suggestion that the trigger buttons are being read as sticks, different from the original Xbox 360 controllers. Another thread suggested that the newer controllers require some sort of vjoy driver to emulate the X360 triggers on newer controllers, and I dropped that in also and I have not seemed to get it going beyond where I've been stopped at, yet.

Would anyone know what I would require to get the triggers on the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller to work? The rest of the controller is working fine. I will continue searching for a solution but if not I guess I can at least use my corded Xbox 360 controller.

Update 1: I've tried EaglePatchAC2 and it does not work for the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. Some folks say it works for Xbox One controller, but supposedly Xbox One and Xbox Series controllers are different. I'm not sure if the Xbox Series and Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers are so different as well besides their general feature set, but they are the same console generation either way.

Have you tried disabling Steam input in game's properties controller tab?

I have, but the most progress I was able to make was every controller function minus the trigger buttons on the shoulders. Apparently they are mechanically different than the trigger buttons on the original xbox 360 controller, so the game does not register them.
