anyone know how to fix AC2 from freezing pc

i got most of the assassins creed games during the sale and ac2 is the only one that causes my pc to completely freeze needing me to hard reset it. Ive changed the compatibility from windows 10 - xp and same thing happens every time. i have also downloaded it to my ssd then moved it to me hdd then i uninstalled it and reinstalled it and truned off my antivirus but still get the same issue can anyone help.

gtx 1650
amd ryzen 5 3600
16gb ram
