No background city music

i'm only in the first city but I distinctly remember there being this acoustic background theme that would play as you explore the first city before you go to the villa.

But....when I play now there's no ambient music at all. Just the sounds of the crowd. It feels very bizarre without the music. What could be causing this?

I think this is an engine bug because it happens in other AC games sometimes as well. Did you check your sound options? Verify game cache?

Your sound properties must be in 44100KHZ. This worked for me.
