Xbox Series X Controller

Is there any way to get this game to support it? I tried using x360ce and plugged in my controller, some of the buttons work but the left and right trigger move the camera, not the analog sticks.

Hello sdpad222, thanks for posting.

The game only officially supports a wired Xbox 360 controller on Steam. You may be able to get another controller to work with the game by following certain workarounds, however.

Please try out the following steps that have been able to help Steam players in the past for some of our AC titles >

- Test the game on big picture mode in Steam and non-big picture mode, if you have the option

- Test the game with a wired USB connection and a Bluetooth connection, to check if both connections are affected

- Test the game after disabling the Steam overlay, in the Steam settings

- Test the game after disabling the Ubisoft Connect overlay, in the Ubisoft Connect settings, if the game also launches our launcher

- Make sure no other game launchers are running other than the ones needed to play the game, in case of interference from other game launchers

- Unplug/disconnect any other peripherals such as other gamepads, mouse and keyboard, and any USB dongles, when the game is launched, in case of interference

- In the controller profile setup, in Steam settings, select 'no config profile/no input' then test the controller with the game.

- In the controller profile setup, in Steam settings, try selecting all gamepads profiles options, one by one, to see check if all the controller profiles are affected by this >https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/steam_controller/getting_started_for_players

Please note, there are some limits to what we can advise if you are using an unofficially supported controller with the game.

If you wish to remap buttons where the game would not normally let you, you may need to install third-party software for your Xbox controller, as you previously mentioned, though we are not able to name which ones to use specifically.
