AC2 Stuck in Battle of Forli

Got the deluxe edition, done the first mission of the Forli DLC (where you swim through the side entrance and open the main gate from inside), but now Caterina Sforza's disappeared and I've got no way to continue. Restarting and deleting/reloading didn't work. I get a memory start icon pointing to Forli from other zones, but once I get to Forli there's nothing there.

Ok, I've solved it, sort of. Basically I ran around the inside of the city, sticking close to the walls. At some point a small cutscene triggers (like a change of viewpoint when the game wants to show you your next move) and you end up right by the lever you pushed earlier.
