Laggy cutscenes and sometimes gameplay too

No matter what video settings I used (even the lowest ones) I still have the problem where the audio plays faster than what action I'm seeing. During a cutscene I'll here the knife stab and then a few seconds later (maybe 20-ish) I'll see Ezio kill someone. This happens regardless of how low I set the video or sound settings. I also see similar problems with in-game voices from NPCs, but not action noises (stabbing, punches, etc.).

I heard that other people were having the same issues, but I haven't found an answer that works. Is it because of Uplay running? Some Ubisoft thing that I need to disable? What can I do to fix things??

Maybe it is your resolution or other options. I have a little lag, but not much. Are you using a Mac or PC?

I have that exact same problem, I just downloaded the game today and I have found the cut scenes un-watchable due to ridiculous lag :( I only got to the baby bit before I quit in frustration. Even the settings menu was slow when I attempted to change the sound and graphics settings.
I hope you can get a fix to your problem ^.^

Like I said, I've tried turning everything down to the lowest settings and I still have this problem. I saw one fix that said the sound card might be clogging up the memory, so I've even turned the sound and video setting in Windows down to the minimum without any change in lagging sync.

Still no changes/fixes that work.

AC2 port on the PC is pretty unstable anyway. It's just a ctrl c + ctrl v version of AC2 on the Xbox optimized to work with a keyboard.

Just about to finish the game (last sequence), did all the side missions, all treasure etc..... i got the game just instantly exit only 2 times (30 hrs+ of playtime). i blame Ubisoft DRM. i was able to restart it immediatly. i have not had a single lag issue, bad cut scene or the like. in some very rare occasion the game has problem with layers and some drapes or wanted poster will flash when looking at a particular angle that's all. Intel Proc, Nvidia Video (on Uplay client)

Its the port thats the problem! i have an nvidia system and an AMD system! both are high end and both have issues! Its just a terrible port :/ hope that fixes with black flag.
