AC2 doesn't start...
Today I bought and installed AC2 but impossible to get the game starting...
I've tried everything, uninstall uplay, the game, verifyed game cache and so on...
At the first launch, Uplay client is starting, logging onto my account, and displaying a window ( downloading game files) and completing the download. Then it brings me on my uplay page and that's all. No error message, nothing else.
If I try to re run the game, nothing happens.
I'm happy, tomorrow, impossible to launch AC3, today AC2.
This is strange, I bought Rayman Legends a few week ago and never have such problems...

Hope that someone here could give me a clue...

What's your operating system? Also, locating the games .exe and setting it to run as administrator might help.

Have you tried running the program in compatibility mode?

I have the same issue with my AC2. I already posted a thread about it days ago.

Based on the error in the log file, you might have to request a new key through a Steam support ticket.

I don't really know...
After one more uninstall / reinstall there's nothing special in logs files (sorry something about http)

Usually this is caused by the relatively old UPlay installer packaged with AC2. I fixed this on Win 7 Ent x64 SP1 by installing AC2 via Steam. Then go to Control Panel --> Programs and uninstall uplay. Then go to https://ubistatic3-a.akamaihd.net/orbit/launcher_installer/UplayInstaller.exe to download and install the latest UPlay client. Once done, restart steam or Windows to be sure, and start Steam and launch AC2.

Just tried but still the same...

Given the error you mentioned before, have you tried re-registering the game to UPlay?

It wont work for me either. I can't find any solutions to this. I tried installing the version on ubisoft's site, restarting steam, pc, etc. This is bull. The people who actually PAY for the game get screwed over because this uplay bs while the people torrenting the game get to play it cause they don't need uplay. There is no reason that this shouldn't be working. Its not his computer, its uplay being a garbage program that fails to stop people who torrent the game and screws over ONLY the people who buy it.
