Can i play AC2 without Uplay ?

I just bought all the old AC games with Ezio in since they are on sale. But i cant start playing AC2 without logging into Uplay.

I had an account on an old email but if i try to recover the old password or create a new account it just opens a browser and says this site cannot be reached. Is there a work around ?

Only AC1 does not require ubisoft's launcher. Delete the old client that's installed with the game and download the latest ubisoft connect version from ubi's website

Either get Ubi' Con[ubisoftconnect.com] from their site as the above poster stated.
And then simply uninstall Ubi$oft's defunct Game Launcher/Store, which was UPlay, since somewhere during 2020.

Initially Uplay was added to "only" be a "value added" service. Such as being able to save your progress ect. It wont be DRM we were told.

Of course they lied about this as you can see what the app turned into.

The Uplay app now is an unreliable, game save deleting, game store. They no longer want to save your game saves.

Do not rely on thsi company for your game saves. Most of the time they are hours behind your own game play and you wll lose all progress if you synch with their servers. It is better to use your own game saves and not the synched ones they will load. They will wipe your progress clean.

Ubisoft are in deep financial trouble and had to lay off all UK staff at their studio here.

No surprise that when you produce bug riddled garbage on a near yearly basis that people stop buying your product. They cant understand why people stopped buying their games. Imagine that.

They've convinced themselves that it's all racism and sexism, that it has nothing to do with their business model of telling customers to stop expecting ownership over copies of games they buy. Only silver lining in all this is knowing that the company Ubisoft will cease to exist soon.
