Ok, the Problem is the Framerate, you must Lock the Screen at 60Hz

RUN in admissions mode
go to the game file, find the AC2.exe right click and run in admin

had the same problem and it worked for me

Try going into the game files, and in both .exe ( AssassinsCreedII and AssassinsCreedIIGame ) disable fullscreen optimizations in properties. Worked for me.

Not working for me, it is really a shame that Ubisoft cant make a permanent fix for issuess with its beloved franchises... I know it is an old game, but maybe a remaster for modern PCs?

I’d like to thank you for helping with the screen flickering issue. The 50 Hz setting really worked, and the problem is finally gone.

Do you use Nvidia? If that's the case, go to the Nvidia Control panel (not Geforce), look for AC2 in the program setting and change the max FPS to 60.

I can't find AssassinsCreedII in mine, where would I find it? I tried just doing AssassinsCreedIIGame but the game will just crash when I open it

How? When I open the .exe file I see encrypted texts..
@EggBird You have to disable the fullscreen optimizations in the properties not in the file itself.
