Ubisoft Connect replaced Uplay.
I hope you will manage and enjoy your game!
Although I'm definitelly not a current happy [Ubi$oft[/i]'s customer, I also felt the need to point out that this game is nearly 2 decades old and that Ubi$oft has also stopped supporting for a while now (by shutting down its game dedicated servers)[www.ubisoft.com].
And quite sadly similar occurs with their so called "Legacy Titles"[www.ubisoft.com] in which, most likely, you won't get even half decent support at current day and age.
Not that Ubi$oft's Support[www.ubisoft.com] was ever great to start off too. And I'm saying that from all the times that I've left a ticket there, I've always had to find out a solution on my own or with that game's community help and every time had my tickets closed without providing me an actual solution.
Somewhat unrelated side note: And here's the current 2024's list of Ubi' games soon to be left without support too[www.ubisoft.com].
I have a same problem, so after following these steps, can i uninstall the uplay software?
UPlay has become a useless defunct program pretty much somewhere around 2020 when it was replaced by that current version piece of bloatware (cr)app, which is Ubi' Con[ubisoftconnect.com] (obvious pun intended around the name of the link which is the actual app's name).
Although since Ubi$oft has become, or worst is, pretty much incompetent when it comes to properly patching/updating their games to properly fix/address bugs. And Ubi$oft now also tends to insert controlled obsolescence upon their older titles, that's why they've never actually bothered to properly replace the initially bundled UPlay with thier games still being sold upon other platforms, particularly since they've had a serious hatred for Steam since around 2018-2019 or so.
