And another thing that you must be aware is that acquiring really old Ubi$oft games by today's age in comparison, most of the times that will mean that they've already got Ubi$oft's game dedicated servers shut down for a while now[www.ubisoft.com] and thus to be able to play with some of their extra content and/or DLC's, you'll need to find saves previously made to that point and if not mistaken a few of those might be stored upon the Nexus Mods site[www.nexusmods.com] (if, quite obviously, looking for AC II).
Although not entirelly disagreeing with your PoV (point of view) here, it really doesn't help solving this player's issue. Let's try and also bring something constructive towards the community the nexrt time, shall we? Much obliged.
What I said was still true, but I could have at least waited to see if anyone else had a legit solution first.
And the reason is that they can't do much more to prevent people from using other methods to play "DLC" related material. For example, I've tried the AC: B's Copernicus[assassinscreed.fandom.com] DLC upon PC quite a few years later after because it was initially released as consoles only DLC. And it was their loss, mind you, because they've decided not to release it into PC's back when I've bought my AC:B CD-DVD. And in no way I'm acquiring that DLC for PC in 2017 after seeing their latest in-game's monetization practices as I'm about to detail below.
If you're already paying for a AAA quality game prices and still having to deal with Ubi$oft's ever growing in-game monetization practices borderlining the "pay to progress" like it blatantly occurs upon AC: Oddyssey, that's why they've pretty much lost me as a fidelized client in these latest years because I'm still noticing that trend isn't anywhere near to slow down or get back into the old gaming industry's self-sustained development method that they used to have, which also inherently implied games to have a way higher quality standard than they currently have (i.e., most games aren't any longer "a labor of love" from their developers and thus they've become bland products pretty much as if you're acquiring hair blower in which they tell you to pimp it by having golden stripes into one of their models).
The game is marked "Playable", but I can't pass the Uplay screen.
The actual benefits of previously reading by searching and/or researching just before spam bump another topic with this sore excuse for thread hi-jacking attempt.
It's really strange how ubisoft can't even put up a notice in their old launcher or w/e. The same way they don't allow you to remove the horrible padding DLCs. Not that I care that much about these games, but yeah...
my man, I love you so much
Imho, you should address Steam Support regarding this matter because if it wasn't broken then why forking fiddle with it into a worst verision? It still defies my 101 logic, so...
