Although also be advised that AC II is amongst the games that Ubi$oft stopped having dedicated game servers[www.ubisoft.com]. And that there are also others, like AC IV: Black Flag that are considered "Legacy Titles" by them and thus you might not get any decent support at all for it[www.ubisoft.com].
And what about for Steamdeck users, who can't really run Ubisoft Connect in the background
I'm not usually support, just share the knowledge that I've got.
And since I don't have, nor atm I'm particularly fond of, Steam's Deck thus you probably should look for a Proton based solution (which works based off upon Linux Operating Systems, from what I've read somewhere around one of the plenty Steam's forums sections) to circumvent that apparent Steam Deck's limitation. But hey, this is what I vaguelly recall from memory so take it with a few pinches of

Thanks! I don't know why Ubisoft doesn't just make this crystal clear off the bat so their own customers don't have to scramble for information to even open their games. :/
