That's what I mean the Uplay ones aren't showing up for me anymore.
I really think if people are fans of ubi or their games they need to try and stop I dunno, needlessly criticizing a company that makes amazing games. I do think they might need to calm down on the AC games and FC because they are great games, but look how many they got. They have classic games as well that really need to be ported better such as AC1, Splinter cell, and beyond good and evil.
I really think ubisoft needs to get some kind of deal going with steam, scrap the client entirely but keep all their games, and rework everything for steam. The client idea is always a bad idea not just for ubi but everything. The only company I think could make a client work is nintendo cause they never even jumped on pc before people would download and buy nintendo like crazy. Ubi should really consider it has fans, it has very awesome detailed games. Hell AC series is the best for action history realism. I really think ubi will survive they been doing this since prince of persia on pc and nes. The whole client thing is a trap imo and I don't even know how EA makes so much money I'am not impressed by most of their games.
Lucasarts is even worse they don't do a thing with their old classic starwars games. I honestly prefer indie companies these days cause even with small budgets they go out of their way to include new features and update their games. Not all of course but most of the good ones do. I just don't get making art then abandoning it, morrowind is imo one of the greatest games ever made and it has never gotten any kind of update or remaster.
AC I really like the altair/enzio storyline the rest are a bit to much there's just to many sequels. I tend to like the odd ones out, cry freedom looks like one I'd be interested in along with black flag.
But I can understand criticism I really didn't think I was gonna like AC at first lot of people recommended it to me, but I was under the assumption that it was gonna be another mindlessly edgy game glorifying violence. But it really doesn't, it shows the negatives of both sides the assassin order and the templars. And even in the first one the assassin guild is pretty much worse than the templars. Which is what I liked so much about it, it told a story of a guy who recognized corruption in his own guild and fought his own figures of authority against it. Ezio is also a good arc, he didn't ask for what happened to his family, and the people who did were evil and even when it was that guys time to suffer a slow burning death ezio didn't want that. There is a lot of good about the games and questions of right and wrong, done in a subtle way to make people think. Even in revelations, some of the stuff is a little different sided and ezio stresses to his acolytes not to judge everything to quickly and to look at things for what they are..
I think to many games these days just paint enemies and agendas, I think what AC was doing was putting together an era spanning drama with no real evil badguys except the ones who are clearly evil. Like the ones who killed ezios family members. And of course presenting that in a fun, historically impressive sandbox with a lot of cool stuff to do. No one should want to assassinate people, that's kind of the point of the games I think. Even in desmonds flashbacks in revelations it doesn't look like a positive or good existence. That's what I'd like to see more of in games.
As far as criticism of companies and developers go, as gamers and customers we all have opinions but in my view, at first I didn't like uplay to much. But compared to other clients its really not that bad. The downloads and updates are barely over 100 mbs and they do remember the offline setting and my password. So can't really say its worse than origin which was way to heavy. And epic which just looked cheap and spammy. As I say everyone deserves to have an opinion, but look how many games have openly ripped off AC's system since 1. And microsoft laughing at ubi is pretty hypocritical to me considering how much of a pain they turned the halo collection into with a 6gb download every month.
Ok ranting over now.
Liberation remastered has been included as part of ac3 remastered. The original version is the hd release from 2014. It was a remake of the vita version from 2012.
The challenges were removed from UbiConnect, but left in the game as they are hardcoded.
These are different from the achievement lists that exist.
AC2 did not have any achievements on UbiConnect from what I've seen. Brotherhood had them in game under stats.
I can still buy items for AC Valhalla with Upoints. There is a lot of free stuff, but also many weapons and mounts for Upoints. So it isn't completely down.
