Assassin's Creed II

Assassin's Creed II

Assassin's Creed II CD Key or Activation Code
So I bought AC II on steam. I made a uplay account and everything. But when I tried to launch the game it asked for me to login to uplay. So I did but now it's asking for a CD key or Activation code. Thanks for the help of my previous question!

it happened to me. I just went to "this pc" in my documents (i run windows 8.1) and searched for uplay. then, i scrolled down and deleted the Uplay file. it is about 30 mb and should have Ubisoft/Ubisoft game launcher in the local url (you'll find that right under the title of the file). then, search "download uplay" on google (not bing lol) and it should be the first result. then, just download it and it should be fine. it should have all your info and everything already, and you won't have to re-download your games or anything like that. Hope it works!! --cookie

Go to your library and find AC 2. On the right banner, there are link for things such as "store page" and "community hub" etc. One of the links is for "CD Keys". If you cilck that, your activation codes will come up. Just copy them and paste them in when the game asks for it.

Not sure if you've already solved this problem, but just in case you haven't thought I'd try to help.

I too had all the above problems and DID eventually get it to work by following some help I find via searching on google. However, it is just further pain and more reason for me not to buy games on steam - I went through all the initial registering required (after buying AC1 at a shop and expecting to just come home, put the DISK in the drive and PLAY the darn game - like i always used to)...... but NO, I had to go through registering on Steam - I disliked it but thought "Well - at least now I am registered that is out of the way and I can now simply buy any more games and play them.....

BUT ... I find on buying AC2 that I am forced into registering on yet something else before I can play, and that something else not being easy, failing, and my having to search on google for ages to find a solution, then find a file on my computer and delete it (scarey for some of us - dont laugh at me, better to pity me). Find another site and dowlload a file.

I would rather go back to the good old days of buying a game, putting it in the machine, pressing PLAY!!!!!!!
