Weapon wheel not working please help

Im struggling to play assassins creed 2 because i cannot select weapons in the weapon wheel, i use keyboard and mouse (2 buttons) and i cannot get past the mission where you first get the throwing knives because i cannot equip them, can some in ac2 community help me out? What i do to select is i open the weapon wheel (Right click) And let go when im hovering over the item but it wont give me the item, this also applies to any other item in the weapon wheel, for one im stuck for the dagger being my sword, and i cannot use throwing knives, or throw money, and if i ever buy a sword, i cannot change to it, so i need serious help as i cannot continue the game because of this stupid bug

Hello there,
Please press "Esc" to open the game's Options and then try to see the keyboard configuration to see if you've got that key defined or what its default is. Since I've customized most of mine I can't help you with more specific details, tbh.

no its right click to open the weapon wheel, then i hover over and it still dosent work

Hold Q and simply click on the item on the wheel with your mouse, then release Q.

Firstly, the default weapon wheel key is "Q", if it's right click for you then there's either something wrong or you've reconfigured the control, if it's the latter then it's all good.

Secondly, you don't just "hover over", you need to "click" to select the item.

A little late but might help someone else. I had the same problem and it worked when I changed the button for the weapon wheel to a keyboard key (I used "r). I had the right mouse button as default too but somehow it didn't work with using both mouse buttons. Also I sometimes need to double click on the items instead of just one click to select them.
