Hey Styros,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you here!
Yes - I'm afraid this is indeed related to the server shutdown of Assassin's Creed II, which in turn has lead to some DLC becoming accessible.
This has been raised and at this time we have no further updates nor can we currently confirm if DLC will be reinstated but we'll keep you guys updated here as and when we hear more.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused and if there's anything further we can answer, please let us know!

Let's put it in a way that they basically mean, your dlcs and your Uplay rewards are all gone because they don't care at all about their games or the fanbase that actually buys the games to keep them running or got them to where they don't care anymore. All these games require is a bit of a code change as I've seen people doing that but nope, too much work. Was testing mine out with a new fresh save. Yeah everything is gone.
Hey there, thanks for your reply.
I would like to reassure you that, while we do at times discontinue online services for older titles, we do not do this because we do not care about our players or the games themselves.
To quote our public-facing article[www.ubisoft.com] about service availability:
I completely understand the disappointment that this can cause, and to this end, I'm happy to forward any feedback or comments that you have regarding this.

Yeah, it's strange that this solution somehow eluded the no doubt incomparably diverse committee that sits in judgment of our "End User" privileges in the Ubisoft Politburo hall.
Please do bring it to their attention at your earliest convenience.
Your comments have been noted to the relevant teams.
As it stands, none of the will-be impacted games are scheduled to receive any final updates or changes to their DLC access methods so at the time of writing Assassin's Creed II's DLC will still become inaccessible following September 1st.
We appreciate your feedback on this matter and should there be any changes made public, we'll let you know, but for now, the current plans remain.
If there's anything further we can answer or you'd like to share, please let us know.
Thank you!

To put it bluntly: "Not scheduled to" or not, with any game that uses online activation/verification for any of its' single player components, your company should have had a plan to handle the shutdown gracefully the day you've launched the corresponding service - and the relevant code changes committed to a separate branch in the corresponding source control system at that time, just needing to be merged into the main branch, built and deployed to your customers.
I'm sure you understand that the fault for failing to do so lies squarely on the company's shoulders.
Thanks for sharing this too The Fifth Horseman, it's been noted for future.
We appreciate it.

Lies. Thieves...that's what you are. You have stolen content that people PAID for. If ANY of what you claim was true then you'd have done something to rectify or avoid it...you didn't...ergo, you clearly could not give 2 F***s about it. There's no sugar coating it. It is what it is...and it's plain to see what the company's perspective is in regard to its customers.
But yeah, it's totally unacceptable from Ubisoft, or any other company for that matter...
