ezio is overrated
now before you call me a ezio hater, i don't hate ezio, i just feel he is overrated, like the people who like ezio never give any new assassin's a chance like connor, arno, etc

Yes why don't people just give the guy with less personality than an actual tree more of a chance guys? You just don't like anything new it's totally not because all of these characters are horribly written!

I have no idea who is Arno. Stoped playing at the third part, because the plot was too boring. May be its not about assasins over/underrated, but just about the entire story and gameplay?

Well i actually liked Shay's personality and liked rouge over all.

More people like Ezio because more people has actually played AC2. For me I bought the whole AC1, AC2, AC3, Unity like many years ago but only now playing AC2. I do find Ezio character to be typically flat like most gaming character. Yes, I read most AC wiki back story including the short video clip on Ezio's father. Which puzzle me that Giovanni can be so helpless in the end despite being so skillful in the preview clips.

Overall I enjoy AC2 gameplay.

Connor hm
AC 3 is by far the worst AC tho,
IMO

Ezio is loved by the people because he represents the highest peek of AC series. Especially Assassin's Creed II is unique in this with a lot of different cities you visit and generally offers a lot. AC II was ahead of its time.... If AC II was realesed today it would be shattered in many expensive DLCs, that's why it is so rare.

And when it comes to Connor and AC 3....for me it was the worst AC I've played, I don't remember anything about the story or even the end... I only remember how boring and stultifying it was. Naval battles was only thing I enjoyed.

Connor has zero personality.
Arno had personality but it was hidden underneath endless stale jokes and poorly written lines.
Edward would have been as good as Ezio if the game itself didn't feel rushed in its story, the character is not supported by sound writing but does retain a solid background.
anyone else I simply cannot care to remember or is a playable Templar

Ezio has had the most games focusing on him, most of the other characters have only had one game so you can never really get to know them as much and there is only so much time to "develop" the character. Ezio has a lot of character from being a young angry teenager to a wise old man, sure it is over the course of three main games but you can see the development from day 1 to the final story.

I disagree. He actually is very well written and goes from a young teen that jokes around a lot with a smart mouth to being a serious assassin that was the most important overall. People like Ezio because he rebuilt the Assassin Order and he created new and important techniques. He expanded on what Altair wrote and he was able to recover the armor of Altair.

The problem with AC 3 was the awful writing. I also hated how Connor was there every step of the way for the Revolutionary War. I hated how he was commanding soldiers as a general. I hated how he was a ship captain. I hated how Haytham and him weren’t expanded upon. I hated how we couldn’t play as Haytham in one game and Connor the next, I mean why not ? We got to play as Ezio for three games. So the other problem was pacing where we go from playing as Haytham to playing as Connor very quickly.

The other problem, the major one, is how this was a really really poor timeline for an AC game. They really should have went for the French-Indian War timeline instead cause it would have been better for stealth fighting and it would have been cool seeing George Washington as a General for the English. Boston and the Frontier are awful locations for parkour. It is very difficult to be stealth like in these areas. The gun play is difficult because of the area. Many of us hated the combat that wasn’t as good as AC 2’s combat. Many of us hated how Connor wasn’t fleshed out as a character and we hated the story. It’s like we are trying to save our tribe while we are working for Washington, it was dumb. Achilles comes very late in the story.

Then there was the ending with Desmond’s story arc that was a spit to our faces. It was the worst ending imaginable for Desmond after we had spent so much time with him in AC 1, AC 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, then this game. That’s five games and this is the ending we got for all of our hard work ?

There were numerous problems with 3

Connor is overrated by people that like him at all.

Assassin's Creed in general is overrated. AC II was a bad game. It only seems good when compared to the first one, which isn't saying much, or because people think the newer ones suck and then get nostalgic for the "good old days" of Ezio. Except there never was a time when AC didn't suck.
