AC2 vs brotherhood

Winter sale is coming and I am really enjoying AC4 , I want to try out previous titels of the series, I heared that except AC4 the best AC games are 2 and brotherhood .
Should I get AC2 or brotherhood ?

BTW I head brotherhood is a sequal to AC2 so will I have to play AC2 BERORE BROTHERHOOD?

ac2 is the one you should play befor brotherhood. and their both great games.

the AC II trilogy deserve a playthrough. 3 excellent games, that you should obviously play in order, since this is all about Ezio Auditore da Firenze life. AC II depict a young Ezio, Brotherhood start exactly where AC II end and Revelation is about an old Ezio (50+ yo I believe) trying to find answers about some artifacts hidden by Altair Ibn La Ahad (Assassin's Creed 1 main character)

you really should play AC II because it's where it all starts from, then you can buy BH or Revelations to complete Ezio's story :)
