Download a save?

I love Assassin's creed, bougth this game for playstation 2 and after I had some nostalgia I bought it again for playstation 3. I hate how with new consoles I was not able to transfer my save files. This should not be a problem if I had the game for pc, and I could play it whenever in the fistant future regardless of getting new computers.

My question is, can I download files that are 100% completed so I can play casually (for this game and future titles)? I remember how much of a pain some mission 100% were and some collectibles like the bird feathers, and I am somewhat of an obsesive completionist.

The thing is, if you download the 100% save, there won't be anything left to play. The only things available after completion are free-roam and replaying secondary memories (Assassin Tombs, Beat Up events, Races, Courier events and Assassination contracts).

Only AC Brotherhood onwards allow you to replay main missions.

I guess I could use 1 of the 3 save files just for main story if I feel like it. I just want to have all weapons and not have to worry with collectibles, so downloading save files is possible, right?

Can you explain how? Everytime I try to swap the savefile with the one I've downloaded, the game erases/overwrites it so I never see it when I start the game again?

You have to disable cloud saves. Otherwise the game will swap unsynchronized saves with the ones from the cloud. Secondly, make sure that the directory is correct.

You have to disable cloud saves. Otherwise the game will swap unsynchronized saves with the ones from the cloud. Secondly, make sure that the directory is correct.

Sorry for being dense here, but where do I disable cloud saves, I can't see an option for it anywhere in-game?

Not in-game. Uplay settings.
