Getting past or skipping the last tomb (Visitazione's Secret)
I'm on the final tomb, the one with the "advanced wall jump." This one requires multiple advanced jumps, on a timer, and if yoou screw up one, you have to make your way back to the beginning, reset the timer, and start over. Thanks to the unforgiving controls, about 80% of the time, Exio jumps backwards instead of left or right. I've spent multiple hours over several sessions trying to do it, but getting four in succession feels nearly impossible at this point, especially since I have to waste so much time swmming back and restarting the timer every time it doesn't work out.

So, I'd just like to give up on the tomb. After all, it's an optional side mission. Problem is, once you start, you can't exit. If I can't move forward without finishing the tomb, then I'm just going to have to quit. I don't want to do that, since I want to see how the main storyline ends and since AC2 is otherwise such an amazing game (although I'm wondering what the designers were thinking when they made this tomb).

Any suggestions on how to get out of this predicament.

The jumping puzzles in the tombs really bugged me too, especially when the game forces a different camera perspective on you. For me it worked best when I didn't rush through but took my time with the jumps instead. I still managed to beat the timer as long as I didn't fall down somewhere.

I don't have a savegame to try it myself, but shouldn't there be an "Abort Memory" option in the menu when you're on a side mission? I think that should get you out of the tomb.
