Whats better 1 or 2?
Just wondering ususally start at the first game but really enjoying it so far will probably look into the sequel as well. But just wondering without spoilers for both games (barely got into 1) just based on gameplay which is the better game? I don't mind gameplay spoilers as it gets me ready for things and I usually gotta look up secrets for games like this anyway. Just try to avoid major plot spoilers. Just wondering which one is the better one? 1 is good but good game sequels usually improve on the previous one but sometimes nope. So be honest whichever you like more.

1 no contest.

2 is inferior in all ways.

Why is 2 so inferior to 1? Shouldn't a sequel expand on the first 1?

It takes steps back from what made 1 so fun.

Exploring sucks, enemies are all just drones, bosses suck, the world just isn't as mysterious, and the music lacks the same feel as the first.

He literally put the option to just make the game as easy as possible, and no trace or continuation of the story its just a step back in every way.

Currently playing the first game on ps5 and its a blast, but this game just doesn't feel as satisfying.

I personally liked 2 better. The music wasn't just for atmosphere but actually very enjoyable to listen to, the world felt much more open, optional bosses, more movement options that felt fluid, and while I definitely like aspects of the way the art feels in 1, I do prefer it in 2. Oh, and you get fast travel.

The drone operating in 2 looks fun, plus I like fighting robots just as much as organic aliens.

There are organic enemies in the second game as well, it just takes a little while to get to them. I also think the second game is still very interesting and mysterious to explore, especially since its a completely different world from the first game so you're learning a lot of new stuff. Music is subjective, but I like both games' soundtracks. And while it does take a while, eventually story ties to the first game do emerge. You even visit Sudra briefly. The ending even implies that Axiom Verge 3 will involve Trace and "Indra" teaming up.

All that said, I do agree that Axiom Verge 2's bosses aren't as good as the first game's bosses.

I'm confused why options to make the game easier are a problem for you. You can just... not use them? I didn't use them. There's also the option to crank the sliders up and make the game even harder, too, if you want.

I'm actually kind of the opposite I like options to make a game easier. Lets you practice, not the biggest fan of celeste's gameplay or extreme difficulty but I appreciate that they added assists so you aren't locked out of content.

Basically if you dont want any challenge, or satisfaction.
