A hash is a short (relatively) numeric value generated algorithmically from an arbtrarily large series of numbers. Hash functions are designed to avoid "collisions" (matching hash values from different sources) as much as possible, so they can be reliably used to identify specific versions of files.
They're so reliable, in fact, that a certain file transfer protocol use hashes as a way to identify each unique file or group of files. Many of the clients for that file transfer protocol can actually use the hash value to search the interconnected web of swarms for a match and connect the user to the file(s) that they want just from that short number. Generally this is in the form of a "magnet link", which is in the format:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:HASH_GOES_HERE
but some clients will allow you to simply enter the hash code by itself for the same effect.
Incidentally, the hash for version 1.1 is: 71c3dbdf9d7962c0cf359bea43ec99c8948ecac5
Please keep in mind that this is technically an off-topic thread.
They aren't going to go after the dev because some random person posted this, calm down lol.
No problem :) Kept it Dropbox'd incase anyone needed it...Low and behold, I stumble in here :D
Enjoy
To Steam users, beware of anonymous download links.
I know it's an old version. Had no glitches on my playthrough so didnt feel the need to update it
