Labcoat not Working

Is there a trick to using the labcoat, besides double tapping (and holding) the directional key?

I watched a video, and found I never get the last line of glitch text. I get 2, sometimes 3, then it resets back to one.

I thought this might be a keyboard issue (mechanical), and tried different polling rates and a non-mechanical keyboard, with no success.

I'm running the SteamOS version on Ubuntu 16.04.

I'd love to keep playing, and would appreciate any help. Thanks!

there's more versions of the Labcoat, but if you can't go more than you can now you don't have it yet.

Sorry, I didn't realize there were several versions. It's the first labcoat that should let you teleport through walls. I picked it up shortly after beating Uruku, but it's not working (stuck in the room).

I just had the same issue i thought. but it's pretty simple just read the instruction, it says double tap and HOLD, so after the second tap don't release your thumb and keep it pressed until that guy moves through the wall.

Once you get the 2nd coat upgrade (or maybe the 3rd one) I believe it removes the delayed movement against the walls (since you no longer need to be adjacent to the wall to traverse through it).

Thanks to you both for the info. I did it just like the instructions, and falloutdude83, described, with no luck. I think I'll try my xbox controller instead of a keyboard, and if that doesn't work, email the support address.

At least I can switch back after getting other coat upgrades :)
