What error code are you getting and what OS are you using?
win 10 os and the error code displayed is 1,error code 1.
That's the same issue I started with, I'll hit you up in chat.
game opened after installed uplay from the link https://uplay.ubi.com/#!/en-GB/ and loged with my uplay account, uplay requested my serial and the game run after that
Nice! That was the fix I was putting out. Glad it worked! Coop servers work as well you just have to coordiante with someone as there arn't to many people playing.
Here's what I found for people who had your same issue on win 7
"
- I uninstalled Uplay entirely. ***It leaves files behind! Go to your \program files (x86)\ folder and delete the Ubisoft folder there completely. This was necessary for me to do***
- I restarted my computer (had to do this too, no restart after removal/installation did nothing for me before)
- I re-installed Uplay using the installer found on Uplay's website.
- After installation, I restarted again.
- I launched the game through Steam and after about a minute, Uplay finally came up without crashing and updated itself.
- Exit Uplay.
- Re-launch the game through Steam again, and now you can input your key to activate it.
"
Same, got it on Mac, can't use it because it won't connect to uplay... what a piece of ♥♥♥♥.
I figured out your problem :P j/k
Did you fix it? How?
I've been able to help a few people figure out their problems, the quote here was the joke about playing games on a mac..
What issues are you having Dom?
I believe the problem lies with the launcher, in my case it accepted the Key but never added it to my Uplay profile, which means the game doesn't start because upon checking with the player profile and not finding the Key it assumes it is an illegal copy and shuts the app down.
Been all over the file system deleting files reinstalled Steam and SC twice, searched the web for every solution... but apparently, only using the Uplay Pc app you can add a game to your profile, making this the most stupid issue ever, if the online profile permited to add the Key I own i wouldn't have a problem... And with out an Uplay Mac app I can't really do much.
Does anyone know a work around this issue?
So are you working on a Mac? I haven't seen the issue on PC's before.
Are you getting a "Binding Failed!" message?
Yep, on an Imac from Mid2011, no "Binding Failed" message, the Uplay launcher simply never registered the Key and game onto my Uplay account.
I'd also like to add that I've filled two support claims at Ubisoft and 48h passed, not even a reply, so i'm guessing that's just adding injury to insult, screw Ubisoft...
