If you've tried that, then I'm not sure. What OS are you using?
Go into "/Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction/src/system" and remove systemdetection.dll. Click play and it will say there is no systemdetection.dll. Click OK and let it run Uplay. Then it will say it again. Click OK. Hopefully, it will run after that. The systemdetection.dll is Ubisofts way of blocking bad system configurations so blame it on them.
There is also a mod that is supposed to get rid of it but I have not tried it out yet. It's called Splinter Cell Conviction Fusion Mod.
Doesn't work.
Worked for me, thank you ! In my case I downloaded ubisoft connect first, it doesn't seem to work with uplay
After system check, ubisoft connect should be bring up to bind the game to your ubi account. You just need to confirm that.
I've aleady has ubisoft connect installed and logged in before starting the game. There is also no need for any cdkey in the process.
I tried to do set the compatibily mode to "windows 7" and i had this message (translated from french) "impossible to excecute code, because XINPUT1_3.dll is unfindable. Reinstallaton of the programm may solve the problem"
when I exectuted it directly in this directory (and not with the steam "Tom's Clancy"icon on my desk whis doesn't work in anycase). (it appears also when the .exe file is in windows 11)
