Activation Key Problem

Just installed SC Conviction when i start the game it takes me to UBIsoft Connect and asks for activation key but its not an option in Steam for me, just want to play single player thanks.

Wow, it seems cool, breezy autumn days made us all want to go and meet old friend fisher again?

I'm stuck at the ubi's activation screen, too and i'm very angry. I also sent a ticket, let's see. It's amazing how with every new ubi connect update they manage to screw things up, again and again.

But why doesn't steam help us? Steam could ask Ubisoft why the keys they give us aren't working.

The brlliant ticket guy tells me that he can't see the game on my ubi library so the game must be activated on another account. so he asked me info to "locate the other account".

I told him this is not an individual problem, that there are other people complaining about the same issue so the source of the problem has to be the ubi launcher so he has to relay the problem to the launcher update team.

I'm pretty sure this is another fck-up of the launcher update. with every update they screw sth else up. I remember ac4's kenway fleet were down for days after another update.

Let's see what he will reply back.

same here. Told me it was possible I'm using different accounts, then told me to clear cache on steam and to start steam through files. Nothing helped, still asking for a key. I think I'm going to ask for a refund on this crap.

Yeh so I've been told it's my fault and I must have it on a different account (doesn't exist)

Now they asked for my logs.... Jesus christ, such a waste of time. I'm 99 percent sure it is the launcher, and with the next update it'll somehow get fixed (but then something else will be broken.... sigh....)

I'll wait till then, just out of curiousity. But if problem still exists then it's a refund. And I'll tell them I'll pirating every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ubi game from now on, old or brand new.

"We are now going to transfer the case to a higher department, they are going to further investigate and once we have an update from them we are going to notify you by email."

meaning, "wait till the next update and hope it'll be fixed with it." as i knew from the get-go. brilliant.

That's where I am at right now. No response so far

because they do not have anything to say to us at this point. the usual tweaks just do not work because the problem lays in a more specific area.

this problem surfaced after the 1st september update so I'm quite certain that's the case. they can't roll out a game or a launcher patch just for this, so the problem will probably be added in "to-do-list" for the next launcher update.
