Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

Operating system not supported?
So I recently purchased Splinter Cell Conviction on steam. However when I try to play it and it does a validation check it says the operating system isn't supported? I have windows 10 and can play other games in my library just fine so whats the problem?

Can someone help if they can?

I actually found the solution. Apparently there is some uplay launcher within the splinter cell conviction gamefiles that you need to install. Just wished that they would let you know as part of the instructions. It makes no sense that if I purchase the game on steam that I need a ubisoft launcher to play the game? I mean if they are worry about pirating than disable the online portion. I just wanted to play the single player.

Just click ok when that pops up, the game will launch. The game OS is meant for windows xp, while most of us has windows 7,8,10. That why you get OS not supported error.

I have the same problem as him or her, and when i click ok, it goes away, then it asks me to press ok again.
Then when I press it the game pops up in a black screen and just crashes.
I also did redist, re-installed uplay, and splinter cell, did the installer thing.

This might not help but I think in the game directory files you can try deleting "systemcheckerdll" or something like that, it might tell you that the file is missing but once you press okay it should work

Did some digging in the files and ConvictionUser.dll or something like that, and I put SystemValidation = True, it bypasses the system check but still crashes. trying to find a fix by digging deeper.
