Mining Knuckle Drill missing

I just spent 40 minutes taking the quarry and the boss and after the fade to black, the drill was nowhere to be found in my inventory. I had the map, but not the drill. Was looking forward to mine some stuff high in a cliff I saw before, but ♥♥♥♥ me I guess.

Dunno if you can steal in the quarry, but you can get it through dispatch missions.
First one I got just randomly from clearing out the quarry, don't remember if was a guaranteed quest reward or maybe some random enemy drop, the boss is irrelevant to get it.

Prior to beating the boss you can get it from enemy drops in the quarry.

Guess that's the best strat to farm places with loads of enemies, don't kill the boss first.
Normally can kill boss before hand, but you still have to clear out the place, but when you do so, then it's forever cleared.

I find the old pickaxe to be better.

drill is bugged right now and only provides 1 ore no matter how many bonuses you have

i wanted to get the best pickaxe instead but nobody on the internet knows how to get it or wont tell me lol

Yeah, the enemies will always be there, atleast the random patrols. I think the enemies in the quarry slowly regen, but I'm waaaay past that point to remember.

Nah, its completly RNG with the drill or pickaxe weither or not you get 1-3 drops. The Drill just gives you a chance that one of those 1-3 drops will give you 2 instead of one.

i promise the drill gives 1 guaranteed i have tested it today. maybe not bugged in your game (yet)

I've got 167 hours. It is not bugged, for me atleast. I just went and farmed all the ores I needed a couple hours ago, Bloodstone locations, the silver and gold cave, the plateau with tons of iron, and the in land island on the east side of the map with like 20 ore locations. It definitely does work. Best i've gotten was 5 ore from one node.
