Should I finish side quests first or main quest?
I am in Demeniss atm and have a lot of open quests here but Witch Quests and Main Quests all want me to go to Crimson Desert already.
So what you guys recommend who already finished everything, finish Main Quest first and then do the side content step by step? Or first do the missions in a region until I done most of it and then move on to the next region with the main quest?
I have no issues with mobs or bosses. Its just I dont want to get into new region when I might be missing out good gear or items in the region I am now and will have to come back for it later!?

What chapter are you on?

Good break points, imho, are:

Chapter 4 / 5 start, then finish camp + explore
Chapter 5 if you're dedicated - do all shrines, get kuku gear while exploring map (you can even do Asterion at this point, but most won't)
Chapter 8 start - polish off as much of Pailune / remaining Hernand / explore before moving the story on
What do you want to do? Do that. From what I can tell, in chapter 10 now, the only things locked to MSQ is gonna be certain abilities you have to observe from story bosses. Other than that, you can just go do whatever you want, now or later. If you aren't having trouble and want to progress Main Story, do that until you do have trouble, or just wander... pick up bugs... find caves... etc.

If i already chapter 9, i will just explore the world, do side quest. Crimson desert region intrigue me. But hey that's me. It's up to you btw.
I personally done to the start of chapter 5 to unlock a skill needed to help explore, I then switched over to side quests. No real right or wrong way to do it. Play your way and enjoy it.

Yeah I did the same. Once I realized there was a feature I wanted to use that was locked behind a given Chapter I pushed through to do it, then went back to doing as much camp and side quest stuff I could until I got to a region I wanted to explore that was locked behind a Main/Faction Quest. Then I go do that, then back to side quests and exploration for a while.
I usually do side quests until everything is done or locked up behind the main quest, then I take another step in the main quest.
Some quests can be actually locked, lost, failed .. if you progress too quickly.
But many side quests are locked behind main quests + side quests.
Like .. finish MQ Chapter 5 and SQ of line ABC to unlock SQ line D etc.
If you finish SQ ABC in chapter 4, line D wont unlock.

But chapter 7 is kinda safe .. and upgrade your camp, do all the quests, it will unlock a lot of npc for the camp and make the game much easier ..
I would not progress further until you enjoy it because after chapter 8 or 9, not sure not, it gets kinda overcomplicated .. you dont have to but you can relocation your camp to town ..
Can't really disagree with previous posters here. At ch9 most things are unlocked and good chance to explore side quests
My personal strategy is to always do one region at a time.
Only exception would be Forgotten general which is the hardest boss in the game and you should have maxed gear when facing her. If you finish main quest first you have access to infinite arrows 3 and can spam exploding arrows at here which makes it easier.
I have done as many side quests as possible so as to just be able to relish the exploring without feeling I was near the end. I have done a lot of faction quests including those in the crimson desert area and delysia even though I am only on chapter nine now. I think there is some reason to wait to finish the witches quest till something like chapter nine and that is what I did.
I've finished the main story on this end... hmm.. if you are at least past chapter 5 and have all of the main skills learnt, I would say go for all of the side quests and missions you can find ! .. Oh.. make sure to get the Griffon Mount to see and find stuff you can find much better from the air ( very hidden holes in the ground and stuff like that). Be sure to get the second baby griffon too, cause it looks cute with the flight goggles and can help in a fight...

I also recommend doing every Abyss Puzzle also and take it very slow up there, because there are some nice items in some very hidden chests... It gets to the point where you can look over at a spot and think .. 'hmm.. that's where I'd hide a chest', and sure enough, there's a chest there.. sometimes..

I mentioned to get the griffon to fly to harder to reach places, but you can find some very interesting side-quests on the ground too...

Again, if you have at least chapter 5 under your belt, start exploring around as much as you can...

The only thing I'd say you would miss is the ability to research at some of the later chapter's research places...

Whichever way you choose, enjoy !
