Best way to get wool?

I have built the ranch but i cant find any sheep to put in it. I have tried so many different merchants as well. Wool is the #1 thing holding me back from upgrades at this point.

You can buy the wool/fleece at the traders that sell tools.
There is one in every main town.

Im on chapter 7 and havent found any fleece either.
When you get the ranch it does mention about raising friendship with animal NPCs to get new babies to buy so maybe thats how but I havent tried yet
Edit: The guy above is right about being able to buy 2-4 or so every ingame day but if you want a reliable farmable source, farming might be the only way.
They also drop off bandits and bleed bandits rarely

I found ONE vendor selling fleece so far, it's in that village in chapter 7, after you rescue the people, the "infiltration" mission, where you blow everything up, and the final boss is a god of thunder or something.

You can try to steal one from a boy, whos sheep Wooly run away. But i couldn't bring it over my heart. Cause he is speaking to his sheep like" You wouldn't run away like Wooly"

I already did that quest. Also there is no way that is the ONLY sheep in the entire game. I am not above stealing one, but i literally cannot find one ANYWHERE

Early on there is a quest involving sheep. You can hear them Bah easily

There are sheep walking in the grass outside the front of Bloomwood Ranch next to the road/cliff edge. I farmed that spot for mats till I built the ranch.

Just make sure you use the lantern to confirm its a sheep first and not one of the herding goats.

Increase you relationship with vendors. The general goods trader across from the smith will have fleece once you get like 70-80 points iirc? at 100 friendship you even get the ability to buy their goods at your own camp if you "use" the shipment paper they sell you too
