What's up with the Slaves?

I've been fighting in a few camps now, and there's always slaves bound, kneeling on the ground, asking me to "hear them out", "untie them", or whatever. Although I cleared all the bandits in the area, there was no prompt to do anything, and they continued repeating the same three lines over and over. What's up with them? Are they bugged? Are they "fake"?

Was wondering that too lol took out a camp of what seemed to be 100 men and I kept hearing those lines over and over again.

In the spirit of "everything needs to be overly complicated", you need to hoist your weapon, then for each prisoner, L1 + X.

You can free them. And if you have progressed the main quest line to the point where you can start building your own camp again the very first faction quest is "Go and save these prisoners" so that's why.

And no - it's not retrospective of course.
