What about bear hunting is it the same?
I may have gotten the name mixed up. The one that increases your space is called something else (a Market Building ?)
If you have not done so already, I recommend playing the first few levels of the campaign as it serves as a tutorial of sorts and should explain the basics of setting up infrastructure.
Its for anno 2070 but a lot of the concepts are the same for 1404.
it's not the Marketplace you need but the "Small Market Building". Once you place that close to your Stone Deposit, you should be able to build the Stone Mason's Hut (for example). This had me stumped for ages too.
