DO NOT enable Custom Cursors if you have Windows 10

Your computer might be different (and if it is good for you ^^ ) but fair warning out there that if you use Windows 10 and enable custom cursors that your game might constantly crash. I spent a good 30 minutes just trying to turn off the setting (took that long due to crashing).

If you did accidentally enable it and you're crashing how I did here's a few tips on how to disable it.

Have a tab open over it so that your cursor can be inside the window but it won't detect it (which causes the crash). If you're full screen you can probably still do this using task manager (if you set it to be above all windows). If not there's not much I can offer except maybe try alt+enter to put it into windowed mode?

Click on where the required buttons should be and immediately pull your cursor off the program. Repeat until you disable the custom cursors.


*Note* I had my program running compatibility mode as Windows XPS3 with the program running as an administator.

Thank you dear god I almost thought I'd have to refund for NOT WORKING... and couldn't find the files containing settings to change it manually... finally got the setting off.

My game just crashes instantly I can't even get to the loading screen. Any other way to disable it?

Edit: I also have my .exe running compatibility mode SP3 and running as administrator.

Dang, that sucks. As far as I know there's not another way to disable it. But if I find one out I'll message here.

I would imagine that if you could delete the configuration file it would turn everything back to default but I'm not sure how to do that.

Yeah I looked in every folder and couldn't find a config file, so I guess if I don't find a fix soon I'll just refund the game :(

Yeah, I believe it's hidden away somewhere, I can't remember where though. Best of luck finding a fix! I wish EA would just make things easier =/

And you're using Windows 10? Huh... that's odd. Good for you though I guess ^^ Maybe it's actually a problem with the GPU then? I personally am using a GTX 960

I know this is old, but you can alt-tab if you turn off the rendered graphics or whatever. It'll make your game look like ass, but it will allow you to use the steam overlay while in-game, albeit there are some resolution issues.
