Insaniquarium! Deluxe

Insaniquarium! Deluxe

Originally Fullscreen Now Windowed
I downloaded the game and it ran fullscreen for about a week. Then one day it only ran in windowed mode. I even changed my desktop screen resolution to 1020x780 to see if it would fix it with no results.
IF the game automatically changed screen resolution to 1020x780 it is not doing that now.

I CAN get it to run in fullscreen when using the following:

BUT I can't access my save file from the steam "shortcut" using that (my previous game progress).
SO I uninstalled and deleted the files and reinstalled hoping it would return to it's original state but it didn't.

I updated my guide, check the default save location and see if your files are still there and try transferring them to the steam install user location.

Both ways saves to the same location but for whatever reason the modified game doesn't see my original game save.

Do you still have your save if you run the game like before with just no fullscreen? If so go on steam and try right clicking the game and selecting "properties" and then go to "set launch options" type "-screen-width 1024 -screen-height 768 -fullscreen" without the quotations and let me know what that does. It hard for me to fix all the issues with this game when its so old and broken it acts differently for everyone, just in my own personal computers the game had different issues on each the guide and settings i put up where the only fox that worked on all the machines at the same time.

I just want to thank you for taking time to help me out here on this frivolous issue! I will go check it out and report back.

I have my original saved game (that can't be seen on the modded shortcut). I put the following in the launch options: -screen-width 1024 -screen-height 768 -fullscreen with no effect.

See the thing is when I originally downloaded it and played it the game was running in full screen without any hacks. I think I've had two NVIDIA updates since then and I had to play with Monopolysoft (W10) display to get another game running but put the settings back. So I can't remember if any of these effected this issue.

Again, thank you!

I'm at work atm, when I get home I'll try troubleshooting a few more things, if you can find which file is the settings/configuration file try removing that, sometimes uninstalling doesnt remove all files and a simple setting issue could be causing the change.

This issue is not worth interrupting anything your doing (work). FYI when I uninstalled and reinstalled I also deleted the Insaniquarium folder in Steam. There must be another place these things are stored?

Try the files in "ProgramData\Steam\Insaniquarium\userdata" and check i think "ProgramData\popcap\Insaniquarium\userdata" something like that.
These are hidden folders so you will need to enable view of hidden folders if you haven't.
If none of these work you can also always check in
C:\users\appdata\(windows login name)\
There will be three folders in here "local", "roaming", and one more I cant remember. Remember to always make a copy before you delete anything.

Okay I'll mess with it some more later.

the : -screen-width 1024 -screen-height 768 -fullscreen
doing fine with windowsed mode play save file

if using compatability it will need steam.dll(witch need as same) and create new one in game files

but the in option
no custom cursor(no mouse) and hardware acceleation(lower)

actually I try compatability but losing the save so as another try
it back!
