It works through Tunngle, I am in a group that has an active community for it, however to answer your question if you want to do muliplayer, install Tunngle as use its network to bassicaly expand the Local Area Network function of Treasure Planet since it still works to connect with other players world wide. The catch is the person hosting has to be using Windows XP, we do not know why this is and the problem to date is still being worked on, hope this helped ;)
Can Somebody to answer: How many people to play in this game in multiplayer?? Thanks!!! =))

We're gonna be trying this via Evolve in a few weeks, can't wait. :)

I just bought TP and love it! I'd love to do multiplayer

We couldn't get it to work in multiplayer at all. APPARENTLY the host PC has to be running Windows XP.

TP was made with child safty as the first priority and thus anything out of the norm made it not work.

Alright, so I have been testing multiplayer and have made progress. Since this game uses DirectPlay, current routers seem to be a major issue. Many modern routers use a protocol called uPnP under WAN or LAN settings, this feature was previously required for DirectPlay to automatically open ports on the router. However the current version of this feature attempts to use IPv6 with DirectPlay, thus preventing a connection since DirectPlay does NOT support IPv6.

After disabling uPnP on the router and IPv6 on each network adapter in Windows, I was able to host a server on another computer and connect to it on the same LAN, both running Windows 10. Also be aware during the test I disabled anti-virus protection, it might be required.

I will continue to test this out more and will publish a guide on this once I am 100% certain this resolves the issue on more computers.

Wow, thanks man!

An update: I have determined the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface is also preventing connections on this game. Disabling the interface, IPv6 and uPnP solves the issue entirely.

I will be making a guide on how to do this soon!

Ladies and Gent's; why not take this game to the internet?

Look at Revolt! Revolt was an RC racing game that was left out to die until it's undying dedicated fans took it among themselves to, quite litteraly, update the game to not only work on newer machines, but to update it's network protocols to play on the internet?

There might be a mod group willing to tackle this and make multiplayer easier to attempt without a guide and establish a new 'match maker' system to replace the one Disney shut-Down YEARS ago.
