Game won't start
I've played this game before and it is very fun. I recently purchased it on steam and whenever I try to start it, the game freezes on the second picture of the title. I checked crtl+alt+delete and it says something like "32-bit not working". This is the first time I have run it on this computer, but this computer is newer and better than the last two I used to play this game. any suggestions?

I haven't found a solution for this problem but you are suffering the same issue i am. Freezes on second picture of the title screen. If you do find a fix for this i'd love to know

guys i found a fix for this issue if running on windows 10, open the program, let it stop responding then open task manager, right click on the program and open porperties while in tast manager, then end the task, after viewing properties check the box "run in compatability mode for" and select windows XP (service pack 3) worked on my windows 10 laptop, hopefully it helps!

For me, I just start the game and after a few seconds open task manager before it can freeze. For some reason the game usually opens after a few tries. I am on windows 10 btw.

So I did what you suggested, and I think it worked once, but then I couldn't get that to happen again. Do you have to stop the program before you change the settings? I'd open it again and the settings were saved but nothing seemed to change. But like I said there was one time where I got past the opening screen and it started to run normally. I just couldn't get it to happen again with my subsequent fiddlings.

I have also tried this too on my Laptop and it didn't do anything. I even tried all the other versions of windows for the compatibility modes. The worst part is that i still have the CD it's just scratched and some missions won't work so I thought this was awesome when steam had it.

TIP: Suggested you do this method on every dated game. Some games do not require property changes, but likely this game does. If you have Windows 8 through 10, you can alter their properties by changing the compatibility mode to Windows XP Service Pack 3. Secondly, you may change the resolution to 640x480 scale. Note that this is a dated game, its unlikely with higher resolution options like modern games.

Hopefully, this helps. It works on my Window 10 Pro on Surface and Razer Blade. Good luck...

Dude!! thank you so much, that's all it took was the resolution change and now it works!

I tried this but the game still froze just after it launched.

For what it's worth, XP compatibility mode on tp_win32.exe didn't work for me, but selecting "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution" and "Run this program as an administrator" did. Then I could bump the in-game resolution up to 1600 x 900. It seemed like the title screen alone was insistent about being 640 x 480.
