When you look up the game it says game is 'free', so i'm still skeptical to what the catch is.

Either it will be paid DLCs or in-game packs, to pay for the servers and the content added year after year, just enjoy it if you like the game. We will know soon. But it won't be a totally free game, not at this level, that's for sure.
