My view on this game before even knowing what it will be

Frankly, I find the anticipated criticism of plagiarism to be as hypocritical as those against Horizon.

A new game that certainly seems to take up certain aspects of the Horizon saga and several other genres is a priori good for fans.

Anyone who likes to play this kind of game can only be delighted with a game that brings more of its personal touch in a diversified way.

Now, the fundamental question is above all the economic model, because who says free game of this magnitude, says purchase in-game to play and progress. So will this game be worth its cost, that's the real question.

Because ultimately, that's how everything works: one relentlessly improve what others have done before, and it's not a question of patents as far as this game is concerned: mechanical animals would have been invented by Horizon? No. Is this game a remake of Horizon? Not according to the trailers in my opinion.

Do one think that every new fantasy history is a plagiarism of the previous one? Is Tolkien a plagiarism of Conan? No.

If this game turns out to be good, and brings back the Horizon feel, and apparently with Sony's approval, plus includes various other mechanics, what a treat, right?

On the other hand, the characters seem cartoonish and not realistic, a choice of the artistic direction.

Is Epic doing anything worse than Sony?

i really would have wanted to buy this game as a product instead of free to play crap so sad that that ♥♥♥♥ will be the game :( so probably wont play the game thou it looks great and looks fun but F2P many times means scummy tactics and i rather play offline and not online or force to play on their servers, rather have my own server.

Nobody has ever said that Horizon devs invented mechanical animals. Poor straw to grasp at really.

The idea of humanoid robots weren't invented by Transformers either but if someone put what looked to be like full-on Autobots in their game and just tried to skirt the issue of stealing the art style of Transformers basically 1:1 by calling them "Automechs" that came from the planet "Cybertronica" you don't think the Transformers IP holder would have any issue with that?

but animals and Robots are pretty easy to imagine and so it is in the Fair Use unlike Transformers its quiet unique its robots that transforms into cars so that is somewhat more unique

If it's free-to-play then that's so depressing. I was actually excited. Free-to-play means it's probably going to be like Once Human money tactics and no private servers. Don't get me wrong, I loved Once Human but as soon as threw in lootboxes I was done.
